Layers by Scentsy lets you build a new fragrance wardrobe, layer by layer. Isn’t that a lovely idea? To slather yourself in your favorite Scentsy fragrance, and then envelop it all in clothes laundered in the same — or a complementary — scent? Heaven!
But if I know Scentsy Consultants, I know you’re not floating from cloud to fluffy cloud, luxuriating in these new personal and laundry care products. Not you! You’re thinking of new ways to share them with others. And if I know Scentsy fans, you’re looking to buy them!
It’s time to get to work. We all know the best way to share new Scentsy products is at a Scentsy party — it’s true. Let’s start by looking at the new Layers products, and I’ll share a few party tips and tricks along the way.
Layer 1: You’re in the shower. You are a human being, so you use soap while you’re there. When you reach for something to lather up with, what do you choose? Something that smells nice, right? Well now your soap smells especially nice! Because it’s infused with your favorite Scentsy fragrance.
Layers Party Tip #1: Shower before your party. And when you do, use Layers Shower Cream or Gel and let your guests know why you smell so great.
Layer 2: You are officially squeaky clean. But your skin needs moisture! It’s time to slather on some lotion, body butter, cream — whatever your skin needs to feel soothed and pampered. Choose Layers products in the same scent you used in the shower, or choose another scent that balances the first.
Layers Party Tip #2: Play Guess that Scent! Have guests close their eyes and give them each a squeeze of luxurious Body Lotion or Hand Cream. Then it’s up to them to guess what they’re wearing! It gives everyone a chance to sample the products, and gives you a chance to get Scentsy lovers to fall in love with a new scent. First person to guess correctly gets a prize!
Layer 3: Ah, perfume. It’s what separates us from the animals. For a while, we’ve been caressing our wrists and necks with lovely Scentsy Solid Perfume. But there’s nothing like an extra spritz of confidence and beautiful scent!
Layers Party Tip # 3: This game allows your guests to get up close and personal! Split the guests into two groups. Everyone gets a spritz of Body Spray on their wrist (or a swipe of Solid Perfume) — but don’t tell them what fragrance they’re wearing! Make sure each person has a scent buddy in the other group, meaning there are at least two people wearing each fragrance. Then it’s time to find their perfect Scentsy match! After you say “GO,” the first guest to find the person wearing the same scent they’re wearing gets a prize.
And now for our fourth and final layer: LAUNDRY.
Layer 4: It doesn’t matter how much you love your family or if you simply adore the new shirt you bought last week. Washing clothes is not fun. From sorting to suds, laundry is bleak, a bummer, a chore.
Rather, it was.
We’re not saying Layers by Scentsy products will remove all traces of “ugh” from laundry day. What we are saying is that it will help you get through the 600+ loads of laundry you do every year with a whiff of something wonderful!
So how do you share new Layers by Scentsy laundry care products at a party? Start a load of wash and hope it finishes before the guests leave? Seems risky — like a game of beat the clock!
Why not WEAR it instead? Wash your party outfit with a cap of Washer Whiffs in your favorite fragrance, then let the clothes roll around with a Dryer Disk in the same scent. Using Washer Whiffs with Dryer Disks together will give you the best scent experience. If you want even more scent, throw two Dryer Disks in the dryer. Let your laundry do the selling!
Layers Party Tip #4: Shove a couple of non-Scentsy dryer sheets in your sleeves and pant legs. It happens to us all, doesn’t it? You arrive at the office only to find a dryer sheet clinging to your shoulder or derriere. It’s embarrassing! As you discuss the products, pull those mean little sheets out of your sleeves in frustration. You’re tired of dealing with clingy sheets! Your guests are sure to relate to the struggle.
