Leaves are falling, there’s a chill in the air, and pumpkins line front porch steps. What does that mean? It’s autumn! And to the delight of kiddos everywhere, Halloween is fast approaching! Halloween is such a fun holiday because it’s an opportunity to dress up in costume and take on a new persona for the day while getting a few sweets in the process.
Velata lets you dress up your favorite sweet treats in new ways as well. For instance, we recently used our Velata warmer to make one of the tastiest and spookiest Halloween goodies around: Nutter Butter ghosts! This is such an easy and fun task for a Halloween party or even just a simple spooky treat – so easy the whole family can help!
What you’ll need:
• Nutter Butter cookies (One cookie = one ghost)
• Velata Premium Belgian White Chocolate
• Mini chocolate chips (or mini chocolate candies)
Step One: Heat one pouch of Velata White Chocolate and pour into your Velata warmer.
Step Two: Take a Nutter Butter and dip it into the white chocolate, coating as much of the cookie as you can.
Step Three: Place the cookie on wax paper or parchment paper so they don’t stick.
Step Four: Add mini chocolate chips or chocolate candies as eyes or even draw them on with a teensy dollop of Velata dark/milk/caramel milk chocolate using the head of a pin, like we did.
Step Five: Try not to eat them all while you wait for the chocolate to harden. This might be the most difficult part of all.
Step Six: Enjoy your ghostly treat and have a spook-tacular Halloween
