Create your own Velata-inspired Super Bowl ad for a chance to win $300 in prizes!
Be honest…What’s your favorite part of the Super Bowl?
If you said the rigorous competition between two teams engaging in one of America’s most beloved sports, both vying for the title of the most celebrated championship in history in an extraordinary game of physical feats and strategy…then ok, what’s your second favorite?
The ads! Who doesn’t love a good Super Bowl ad? Like the E-trade baby? Hilarious.
So, we were thinking about how we might create a fun Velata contest around the Super Bowl. We HAD to do something because we just HAD to let everyone know what an amazing addition Velata will be to Super Bowl parties across North America this year (seriously, it’s perfect—easy and fun!
And then a Velata light bulb went off. THE ADS!
We want you to create a video ad about Velata. You could win a $200 (USD) Velata gift certificate AND a $100 (USD) gift card to your favorite grocery store chain. You know what that means, right? You could throw one awesome Super Bowl party featuring Velata Warmers, Velata chocolate and accessories, as well as all the dippables you need for your guests! We’ll also feature the winning video on our YouTube page. Sounds fun, right?
All you have to do is get creative. Will it be funny? Informative? Maybe a play on an infomercial? Will it include props? People? Basically, ask yourself: If Velata had a national commercial, what what would its message be?
Don’t have Velata products to feature in your video? No problem. Just crank up the creativity and use what you have to make an impression.
Remember, we’re not looking for professional, ready-to-broadcast commercials. We just want you to have fun and show your love for Velata. We can’t wait to see what you come up with!
Videos must be at least 30 seconds long and no longer than 1 minute 30 seconds to be eligible. Entries must be submitted by 11:59 pm MST on January 21, 2013.

RULES AND ELIGIBILITY:

The contest starts Monday, January 14, 2013 at 5:00 am MST and ends Monday, January 21, 2013 at 11:59 pm MST, with a winner announced on Tuesday, January 22 on Velata’s Facebook page.
Submissions must be at least 30 seconds long, not to exceed 1 minute 30 seconds to be eligible.
Contest is open to legal residents of the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico who are 18 and over. Velata Consultants are eligible to enter the contest.
An internal panel of judges will select one winner. Judging will be based upon originality and creativity of the submission; enthusiasm for the Velata brand and its products; and a strong, positive message about the Velata brand and its products.
Any and all submissions become the property of Scentsy, Inc. If you submit any creative suggestions, ideas, notes, drawings, concepts, designs, original artwork, or other information, you assign to Scentsy, Inc. all of your rights in and to them without compensation or payment of any kind. Receiving the prize is contingent upon compliance with these Official Rules, including the eligibility requirements. The potential winner will be notified within two (2) days after the selection. The winner will be notified using the e-mail address they used to submit their entry. The prize will be delivered to the winner within seven (7) days after sponsor verifies the winner’s identity and eligibility to win the prize.
