How can you know what your significant other, friend or family member wants for Valentine’s Day? Unless you’re a mind reader, you might feel like you’re grasping at straws.
Luckily, if you know your valentine’s love language, you have a solid starting point! Most of us relate to one or two of the five love languages identified in Gary Chapman’s 1992 book, including quality time, acts of service, words of affirmation, physical touch and gifts. There are many ways to say “I love you,” but which way speaks to your valentine? Find some suggestions below!
Quality time
If your loved one appreciates time with their favorite people, look for opportunities to share your day. Bake something delicious together, play a game or simply talk. Maybe take a class together to learn a new skill or go for a long road trip. Whatever you choose, help capture memories of your time by warming their favorite scent while you’re together.
Acts of service
If your loved one has a lot on their plate, show them you care by shouldering some of the burden. Volunteer to take their chores or run errands for them. Surprise them with a sparkling clean bathroom or kitchen. Sometimes a pile of freshly laundered, folded towels is more romantic than a rose. Use Scentsy Clean and Laundry products to add a touch of special fragrance to your chores.
Words of affirmation
Whether written or spoken, words can warm the heart. Let your loved one know what they mean to you. Give specific praise or recall your favorite memories of them. Find a poem they might enjoy or compose one yourself! Write down your thoughts in a card — whether homemade or store-bought — so they last forever.
Physical touch
From a hug to a high five to a handshake, many people feel connected by physical touch. Find time to be near your valentine. Go dancing or hold hands while you go for a walk. Snuggle up to watch a movie or binge a beloved series — and maybe toss a Scentsy Buddy on the couch to impart beautiful fragrance.
Gifts
Last, but certainly not least, express your love through thoughtful gifts! Take the time to pick out something you know your valentine will adore. If they’re a Scentsy fan, look around at what scent systems they like the most. If they have a diffuser in every room, try gifting Scentsy Oils. If they always take fragrance with them on the go, try a Scentsy Car Bar or Travel Twist. If they enjoy the versatility of fan diffusers, gift them Scentsy Pods.
