Scentsy offers two distinct fragrance oil categories: Scentsy Oils are used with our water-based Premium Diffusers, and our Fragrance Cartridge Oils are used exclusively in our Smart Diffuser, the Scentsy fragrance Cartridge Diffuser – Solo. Both options are effective, but each serves a different purpose. 

Scentsy Oils: naturally derived ingredients

We introduced Scentsy Oils for fragrance lovers looking for all-natural home scents. Used with our water-based Diffusers, they deliver an immediate, all-natural fragrance experience with adjustable strength, color and light. 

These Premium Diffusers provide up to eight hours of continuous use with three misting options to tailor fragrance intensity to your preference. Sixteen LED lighting effects display a spectrum of colors, and a variety of designs and interchangeable shades offer a style to suit every space. 

Scentsy Oils come in two varieties: 

Essential Oil: Harvested from the most aromatic botanicals to deliver a pure, single-note fragrance. These are 100% pure essential oils of uncompromising quality. 

Natural Oil: Created by fragrance designers from naturally derived ingredients for a beautiful, complex aroma exclusive to Scentsy. 

Scentsy Fragrance Cartridges: the most advanced scent technology 

In 2025, Scentsy introduced the Scentsy Fragrance Cartridge Diffuser – Solo, our groundbreaking Smart Diffuser. Compact, elegant and remarkably easy to use, the Scentsy Solo connects with the free Scentsy Home app for fully customizable scent strength, intensity and scheduling. It delivers consistent fragrance for living rooms, bedrooms and dining rooms, and is even compatible with voice control.  

The Solo works exclusively with Scentsy Fragrance Cartridges.  

What is a Scentsy Fragrance Cartridge

A Scentsy Fragrance Cartridge combines precision-engineered nebulizing technology with Scentsy Fragrance Cartridge Oil to deliver sophisticated fragrance without any measuring, mixing or mess. Just choose your Oil and place the cartridge into the Solo for instant fragrance. 

What is a nebulizer — and why does it matter? 

Unlike traditional ultrasonic diffusers that mix oil with water, a nebulizer breaks the fragrance oil into ultra-fine particles and releases them directly into the air without water or heat. The result is a pure, intense, long-lasting scent experience. 

Scentsy Fragrance Cartridge Oils are formulated to work with nebulizers for a rich, concentrated fragrance experience without any mess. Each nebulizer is precisely calibrated to the viscosity of each fragrance. Using other oils, even other Scentsy Oils, will damage your Solo and void the warranty. 

How long does one Cartridge last?

Each single-use Fragrance Cartridge lasts up to a month or more, depending on use. Dispose of when empty. 

Can I refill a Fragrance Cartridge?

The Scentsy Solo Fragrance Cartridges are calibrated for each individual scent. They cannot be refilled. Using any other oil may damage the Diffuser, create safety issues and void your warranty.  When a Cartridge is empty, replace it with a new one.
