Does it feel like you’re dashing through the holidays far too quickly? Forget a one-horse open sleigh — this sleigh has at least 10 horses galloping at the speed of light!
Instead of letting the most wonderful time of the year zoom past, resolve to capture beloved holiday moments you can reflect on for years to come. We’ve got the perfect recipe for holiday memories: DIY Christmas crafts and fragrance!
Below are five DIY Christmas ornament ideas paired perfectly with seasonal fragrance. Choose your favorite craft, add the corresponding Scentsy Bar to your Warmer, and get ready to make some holiday memories. We hope every time you smell your chosen fragrance, you’ll remember the moments you spent making these ornaments with loved ones!
Silver bells + Silver Bells
Make your own designer-level ornaments with dollar store items. Use bells, ribbon, sequins, paint and more to customize these ornaments to fit your aesthetic. Twine together several bells with decorative ribbons and touch up plain jingle bells with paint or glitter.
Miniature sled + Sleigh Ride
Construct a tiny sled using wooden craft sticks, glue, paint and string. Attach three or four sticks lengthwise to create the platform of the sled, then glue two sticks underneath the platform as runners. Use a short stick to connect the top of the runners. Decorate with paint and marker to make each sled unique, then use colorful string to hang them from the tree or as a garland.
Gift boxes + Christmas Cottage
The best presents come in the smallest packages — and it doesn’t get much smaller than this! Assemble tiny boxes using scraps of cardboard and tape, then cover the boxes with leftover wrapping paper (there’s always a bit left that you can never use up). Add bows and ribbons, and if you’re giving these ornaments to a friend, place a cube of your favorite Scentsy Bar in the box before you wrap it. (And let your friend know there’s a teensy surprise inside!)
Candy cane reindeer + Candy Cane Buttercream
A classic DIY ornament meets sweet fragrance. To make this bauble, glue googly eyes and a small red pom-pom to a candy cane to make a face and attach a brown pipe cleaner to the crook of the cane to form zigzag antlers.
Painted pinecones + Cinnamon Pinecones
This craft is foraging at its finest. First, gather fallen pinecones. When you come inside to start crafting, the comforting notes of Cinnamon Pinecones will warm you right up. Paint the edges of your pinecones with white paint to resemble snow. If you’re feeling glam, add a touch of glitter, before the paint dries.
Yarn-wrapped letters + Cozy Cardigan
You’ll want to pull on a festive cardi for this one. Cut out cardboard letters of your choice — perhaps initials or a holiday-related word — and wrap the letters in yarn or twine. If you’re spelling out a word, try stringing the letters together with yarn.
Clay Christmas trees + Very Snowy Spruce
Using a Christmas tree-shaped cookie cutter and air-dry clay, create flat silhouettes of the classic symbol of the holidays. Be sure to poke a hole in each tree so you can string the ornament with ribbon later. Allow the clay to dry, then paint your clay in any design you like. For bonus points, imprint a few evergreen sprigs in the clay before it dries.
Starry cinnamon sticks + Apple & Cinnamon Sticks
Nothing says “Christmas” like cinnamon! Take five cinnamon sticks of equal length and arrange in a star pattern. Using a hot glue gun, attach the ends together. Top the star with a bow of rustic twine or ribbon, or leave it as is.
