“What size light bulb does my wax warmer take?”
“Where’s the wattage info?”
“Can I change my diffuser lights?”
Ever get questions like these? Ever ask them yourself? Get answers to the most common queries about Scentsy light bulbs below. Don’t be left in the dark!
What size/watt lightbulb does my Warmer take?
It depends on the warmer you have. Different Scentsy Warmers take different light bulbs, ranging from 10 to 40 watts.
Where can I find the watt information on my Warmer?
Lightbulb watt information is on a sticker on the bottom of every Scentsy Warmer.
What if my Warmer doesn’t have the sticker on it anymore?
Look for your warmer’s product description in a Scentsy catalog, in the current online catalog or on scentsy.com. The product details will include the wattage you need. If your warmer has been discontinued and the product details aren’t available, contact your Scentsy Consultant. If you don’t have a Consultant, find one near you.
Can I use a different bulb watt in my Warmer? What about a different brand?
We recommend using a bulb with the wattage your warmer was designed to use. Using a bulb with higher wattage can be dangerous and potentially damage your warmer, as well as shorten the fragrance experience of your Scentsy Bar. Altering your warmer in any way by using a bulb with incorrect wattage may void your product warranty.
We also recommend using a Scentsy light bulb (and experimenting with our colored light bulbs). Using a different brand of light bulb will not void the warranty; just check the bulb’s packaging to ensure you are using the correct wattage, shape and size indicated.
What do I do if my Diffuser lights go out?
Scentsy Diffuser lights are part of the diffuser base and cannot be removed. If your diffuser lights aren’t working, you will likely need a new base. Contact your Scentsy Consultant for assistance. In the meantime, learn about our limited lifetime replacement warranty.
Do I need a lightbulb for my Element Warmer?
No. Element warmers use a heating element rather than a light bulb to warm wax.
Do you have a replacement bulb for my warmer with special light effects?
The multicolored LED lights used in these unique warmers cannot be replaced without replacing the warmer. If the light effect no longer works, contact your Scentsy Consultant for assistance. If you don’t have a Consultant, find one near you at scentsy.com.
How much energy do Scentsy Warmers use?
It depends on the warmer. Check out our deep dive article on Scentsy warmer energy consumption!

Nell Bell says
What bulb do the Carrera warmer and In the Shadows warmers take? These are newer products and not listed on the bulb sheet.
Scentsy says
Hi Nell, the Carrara Warmer uses a 25 watt light bulb, and the In the Shadows Warmer uses a 40 watt Edison light bulb.

I have the basic scentsy wax warmers (25 watt) and want to put colored bulbs in them . where can I get them an will a G 40 work
Scentsy says
Hi William, we only recommend using the same watt bulbs as supplied with the Warmer for the best fragrance experience. Using a higher watt bulb is not recommended and may void its lifetime warranty.

sim says
Hello, is it possible to use a 7-watt candelbara-base night light bulb in the Scentsy warmers—knowing that using non-Scentsy lightbulbs may void the warranty? Or is 15-watt necessary to melt the wax? Thank you.
Scentsy says
We recommend using 15 watt bulbs with the Mini Warmers to ensure that the wax can get warm enough to melt.

Can I use a 25 watt bulb in a Edison warmer?
Scentsy says
Hi Becky, we typically recommend only using the bulb size that the Warmer comes with for the best experience.
Tina says
What about decreasing the wattage? Mine uses 25 watts and I would like to go dimmer
Scentsy says
Hi Tina, we recommend using the wattage printed on the bottom of the Warmer, but you can safely go down in wattage without voiding the warranty. ?
Francine says
How do you change the bulb in the Little Garden warmer? The bottom plate has a screw with a nut on it, and no information about bulb watt size.

Hi Francine. There is no bulb for that, it’s an element warmer. If it is no longer working, please reach out to your Consultant.

Scentsy says
Hi Grace. Sorry, we aren’t quite sure what you mean. Did you order a specific Element Warmer in your recent purchase and it didn’t arrive?
Aimee says
Hi.
I have a flower vine warmer which I think is about 5 years old now. Do you know if you can change the bulb in these. There is a nut and a screw in the bottom but not sure if this is bulbs or an element warmer?
Scentsy says
Hi Aimee. You will not need to unscrew anything. The bulb would just need to be loosened by hand by twisting it counterclockwise. It uses a 25 watt bulb.
Kay says
I have an older burner Its daisy warmer, and the bulb does not screw in like regular bulb, it has like prong that plugs in. Where can I get one?
