Last time on our wellness series, we shared some fitness advice. Improving your home environment can also play an important wellness role. This week, we take a look at the benefits of purifying the air in your living space:
How clean is the air in your home?
Unlike piles of dishes and dirty laundry, it can be hard to tell when the air in your home needs a good cleaning — unless there’s smoke or a noticeable odor, most of us don’t give it a second thought. But the truth is, the atmosphere of most homes is far more polluted than meets the eye. According to the EPA, some pollutants can be 2 to 5 times more concentrated in indoor environments compared to the outdoors.
What are some common household pollutants?
The tiny particles floating around your home largely depend on the season and your living situation: Pollen is a common culprit for most households come springtime, while pet owners often have to put up with dander, fur and other airborne allergens from their four-legged friends year-round. Mold spores and other bacteria also love to ride the airways in our living spaces.
Can air be purified?
While air pollutants like the ones mentioned above are commonplace, they don’t have to stay that way. The Scentsy Air Purifier quietly cleans the air around you and releases great Scentsy fragrance. It does this by pulling air through a HEPA H13 air filter capable of removing at least 99.95% of airborne particles as small as 0.3 microns! The purifier then uses up to two Scentsy Pods to scent the cleaned air as it circulates back into the room.
Pro tip: Replacement filters and Scentsy Pods can be added to Scentsy Club subscriptions for easy replacement (and Club orders over $30 receive a 10% discount)!
What’s the best way to use an air purifier?
Systems like the Scentsy Air Purifier work best when cleaning rooms up to 200 sq. ft. — such as bedrooms, nurseries and home offices. When used correctly, this system can eliminate common airborne particles in these rooms, letting you and your family enjoy clean and beautifully scented air indoors! Everything is going up, so with the price as high as they all ready are, I may not be ordering much longer. I was a big Scentsy fan, placing big orders, but yall too are making it had for the American people. So sad!
Scentsy says
Scentsy is raising prices on targeted products due to increased manufacturing, shipping and labor costs.
While Scentsy is absorbing many of these increased costs, we must pass some on in the form of higher prices. It’s a worldwide problem many companies are grappling with. Bloomberg News reports that higher shipping costs will endure through 2022, and continue driving up the price of consumer goods. Those supply chain challenges, combined with a global labor shortage, means both raw materials and employees are harder to get and therefore more expensive.
Please know we do not make these decisions lightly. We carefully evaluate where our rising costs are coming from and take a serious and purposeful approach to increase any product price. These increases are targeted and strategic and will allow Scentsy to continue growing and offer our superior fragrance and home products without sacrificing service, quality or selection.
Thank you for understanding.
