If you ask a Scentsy Consultant what they love most about Scentsy
Aside from the products! Chances are, they’ll say the people. No matter who your Sponsor or Director is or how long you’ve been a part of Scentsy, everyone is always willing to help each other out, lift each other up and, well, just be kind to one another. (It’s kinda the opposite of high school …)
Scentsy is a community of big-hearted individuals who contribute more than we take. So when we found out about Random Acts of Kindness Week (Feb. 12-18, 2017), we couldn’t resist the opportunity to make others feel loved, appreciated and accepted. Formally recognized in 1995, this seven-day celebration demonstrates that kindness is contagious. It all starts with one act — one smile, one coffee for a stranger, one favor for a friend. It’s an opportunity for participants to leave the world better than they found it and inspire others to do the same.
A simple act of kindness can make a HUGE difference. And the best part? Kindness doesn’t cost a thing! Here are some ways to spread the love:
- Leave a baggie with some diapers and baby wipes on a restroom changing table with a nice note. (Hey! Who hasn’t been THERE?)
- Let someone go ahead of you in line.
- Share overheard compliments.
- Send an email or a text to someone telling them you love and appreciate them.
- The next time you run to the store, ask a friend who’s overwhelmed – with an illness, a move or a new baby – if you can pick something up for them.
- Offer to babysit for a friend or family member.
- Pay for someone’s meal the next time you go out to eat.
- Buy a sandwich and give it to a homeless person.
- Mow your neighbor’s lawn, shovel their driveway or weed their garden. (Bonus points if you don’t let them know it was you!)
- Leave a sticky note with a positive message on the bathroom mirror for a household member to find.
- Learn someone’s name, whether it’s your mail carrier, doorman, receptionist or barista. This one’s important, people!
- Do a chore for your significant other.
- Help someone with their bags or luggage.
