In Meridian, Idaho, Scentsy Commons is aglow with holiday cheer in anticipation of one of our most beloved events: Point of Lights! The celebration features performances from local high school and community choirs, refreshments, a live Nativity scene, visits from Clyde the camel and even Old St. Nick himself — and you can experience the magic for free! Point of Lights will take place from 6-8 p.m. Dec. 14-16. The event is open to the community, free of charge. If you live near Scentsy Commons, we’d love to see you there!
Light up the night
One of the biggest attractions at Point of Lights is — well — the lights! This year, Scentsy Commons has been decked out with more than 800,000 bulbs strung across 450 trees. If you unfurled them all, you’d have 43 miles of holiday lights — not counting the 68,500 bulbs used to create our incredible light tunnel. And you can’t miss the lights strung around our latest addition to the holiday display: Scentsy’s towering Christmas tree.
Oh, Christmas tree!
At 75-feet tall, and covered with more than 18,500 lights, the Scentsy Christmas tree is hard to miss. We added this artificial tree to our light display last year, making this its official Point of Lights debut! While this is a dazzling addition to Scentsy Commons, the sight may leave you pining for the scent of a real Christmas tree. Don’t worry — Scentsy will be featuring our Mighty Pine fragrance throughout the Point of Lights event, just in case you need a whiff of classic holiday nostalgia!
Making the magic happen
At this point, we’ve rattled off a lot of light statistics, but how did these hundreds of thousands of bulbs get there? Long before the festivities, the Scentsy Facilities team began crafting this breathtaking display with the expert assistance of a local landscaping company. Chief of Staff Sam Johnson explained, “It takes months of hard work to get everything ready in time. We just want families to have something free to enjoy, walk our pathways and provide something to brighten their year.”
From all of us at Scentsy, we hope you can come celebrate with us! Otherwise, share your brightest holiday memories in the comments!
